Bob Faiss is a partner (specializing in Gaming Law, Legislation and Government Relations) of Lionel Sawyer & Collins, the largest private law firm in Nevada serving clients in Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City.  With 33 years of experience representing the gaming industry in the Nevada State Legislature, Faiss is considered one of the world’s foremost authorities on gaming law and is listed as one of America’s 100 Most Influential Lawyers.

Before joining Lionel Sawyer & Collins Faiss was City Editor of the Las Vegas Sun, Assistant Executive Secretary to the Nevada Gaming Commission, Executive Assistant to the Governor of Nevada and a White House Staff Assistant to President Lyndon B. Johnson.

From 1998 through 2003, Mr. Faiss represented the US casino industry on the Bank Secrecy Advisory Group of the US Department of Treasury.  He testified before the US Senate on amendments to the Bank Secrecy Act and before the National Gambling Impact Study Commission on casino credit practices and procedures.

Bob Faiss is a major player in international aspects of gaming law, representing both Nevada based companies involved in gaming overseas and foreign companies involved in Nevada gaming.  He has performed consultancy roles germane to the creation of gaming control systems in Singapore, Viet Nam and Taiwan.
